Totapuri mango pulp – Overview

Totapuri mango pulp is extracted from fresh, mature, and selected ripened Totapuri mango fruits. Cultivated primarily in Andhra Pradesh, these mangoes are also grown in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Recognizable by their golden yellow color and beak-like pointed end, Totapuri mangoes, also known as Bangalora, Ginimoothi, Kili Mooku, and Sandersha, are favored for processing due to their larger size, smaller seed, and higher pulp content. This seasonal fruit is available from May to July.

Totapuri Mango Puree is packed aseptically in pre-sterilized aseptic bags placed with polyliner in food grade epoxy painted (inside) open top MS drum. Product Net weight: 215kgs / Drum.

Storage

Aseptic Totapuri mango puree should be stored at ambient temperature and not below 40C. Avoid exposure to higher temperature and sunlight.

Manufacturing Process

Totapuri mango Pulp Processing

At Mangopoint, high-quality Totapuri mangoes are inspected upon arrival at our manufacturing facility and then loaded into ripening chambers. Once fully matured, the mangoes are processed on conveyor belts. Destoner machinery separates the stones and peels, which are expelled via a waste screw conveyor. During production, samples of the Totapuri mango pulp are taken to verify they meet customer specifications. Our central lab, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, performs analyses to prevent microbial contamination. Batch samples of the Totapuri mango puree are kept in a cold room for future reference. Our dedicated technical team oversees the entire process to ensure our product meets international quality standards.

Packaging

The product is finally passed through a sterilizer and packed in aseptic bags in MS drums. Based on the customer’s requests and requirements,  we supply canned Totapuri mango pulp. Canned Totapuri mango puree is packed in Clean – tin lined OTS cans fabricated to ensure quality. The cans can be externally lacquered sufficiently to prevent rusting. The finished product is stored in our temperature-controlled warehouses.  Canned Totapuri mango puree must be stored at ambient temperature and not below 4 degrees Celsius.  The net weight of the product is 3.1kgs and 1000 cartons can be loaded per 20 feet container. The net weight of the aseptic Totapuri mango puree stored in MS Drums is 215 kg. 80 drums can be accommodated in 20 feet container and it should be stored at ambient temperature.
